    Here it is:
    1kg potatoes
    300gr flour
    1 egg
    Salt

Boil and mash the potatoes (I would boil in salted water), put potatoes in a bowl and mix with flour, egg and salt. Mix the least you can (otherwise gnocchi will be gummy) till you have a soft and slightly sticky dough. Roll long snakes (poor some flour on the counter) and cut them into gnocchi. Set them on trails. When time to cook, boil water and put them one by one, once they float they are cooked, no need to stir (except a bit in the beginning so they don’t stick to the bottom of the pot). Most topical sauces are either tomato, or butter and sage …but enjoy them however you prefer! The extra gnocchi can be frozen. I would put the whole tray in the freezer so they keep separated, and the next day once the gnocchi are frozen, collect them into a bag so they occupy less space in the freezer.
Last time instead of 1 kg of potatoes I used (of course by coincidence) a tiny part of sweet potato, the result was some beautiful pinky/orange gnocchi!
